E-Learning Days

St. Cloud Area School District uses E-Learning Days to continue learning from home, for students in grades K-12, on days when students are not able to learn in person, either due to inclement weather or a scheduled E-Learning day. Teachers will share curriculum-aligned assignments and be accessible by email during regular school hours in order to provide learning support to students.

E-Learning Days are intended to counter the loss of curriculum momentum resulting from school cancellations due to Minnesota’s winter weather conditions and necessary professional learning for staff. E-Learning Days reduce the need for makeup school days in June.

Scheduled E-Learning Days

These days are used throughout the school year to provide opportunities for students to continue to learn, while teachers receive professional development. Please check the District calendar for scheduled E-Learning Days.

Early Childhood will not participate in scheduled E-Learning Days as they are not in session on Fridays.

K-5 students will not be using devices for at-home learning. All learning will be in paper format.

6-12 students will be using their devices for at-home learning. All learning will be on student devices.

Attendance

K-5: Students will be counted present if they return their work or choice board to their teacher within five days of the E-Learning Day.

6-12: Students will be counted present if they complete their work in Schoology by 3:15 p.m. on the E-Learning Day. They will have up to five days after the E-Learning Day to complete their work.

*Please be aware: if your child is sick and unable to complete E-Learning Day learning activities, a parent/guardian must still call the school attendance line to report an absence.
