About PK-12 Education

PK-12 Education is committed to increasing student achievement through effective teaching. We provide leadership and support to administrators and teachers in the areas of staff development, academic standards, guaranteed and viable curriculum, assessment, and effective teaching practices. Our goal is for each student to have an appropriate, consistent, coordinated, and challenging educational program.

Here is a more detailed breakdown of each of the areas we support:

• Professional development: We provide professional development opportunities for teachers that focus on effective teaching practices. 

• Academic standards: We work with administrators and teachers to develop and implement academic standards that are rigorous and challenging. These standards ensure that all students graduate with the knowledge and skills they need to succeed in college, career, and life.

• Guaranteed and Viable Curriculum: We work with administrators and teachers to deliver a guaranteed and viable curriculum. This ensures that all students are learning the same content, regardless of which school they attend.

• Assessment: We provide support to administrators and teachers in the areas of assessment and data analysis. This support helps them to use assessment data to inform instruction and improve student achievement.

• Effective teaching practices: We work with administrators and teachers to identify and implement effective teaching practices. These practices are based on research and have been shown to improve student achievement.
